From Rising Star to Cinema Legend
During the 1960s, Vossoughi’s career began to rise rapidly. His performances attracted attention because he brought a combination of confidence, physical intensity, and emotional vulnerability to his characters. Rather than simply presenting traditional heroic figures, he often portrayed men with personal conflicts, difficult pasts, and complicated relationships with society.
The late 1960s marked a major turning point in Vossoughi’s career. His collaboration with director Masoud Kimiai produced some of the most influential films of popular cinema. Among these, Qeysar, released in 1969, became particularly important. In Qeysar, Vossoughi played the title character, a man driven by a strong sense of family honor and justice.
