Whilst change seems inevitable and a takeover will likely go ahead, Versace would indeed be in very good hands if another Italian company, such as Prada Group, took it over. It understands Versace’s house codes intimately, respects Gianni and Donatella’s extraordinary legacy (from the early days of the supermodels to the recent show-stopping glamour we have seen from Donatella) and could provide a solid future for Versace: a new and exciting chapter.
