Mexican media have reported the pair had a relationship – which the social media star has denied.But a chilling banner threatening Julissa was hung up by supposed cartel members.Julissa accused the media of sensationalism and publicly shamed the publications and media outlets that accused her of being a suspect. Mexican authorities said they located Nemesio “El Mencho” Oseguera Cerantes – leader of the New Generation Jalisco Cartel (CJNG) – in a picturesque village in western Mexico.
El Mencho was killed in a violent confrontation that followed, with Mexico’s Defense Secretary Ricardo Trevilla later revealing how agents had found him. Almost immediately, social media rumors linked El Mencho’s alleged girlfriend to his capture and death. Posts claimed that a woman named María Julissa, described as a popular social media influencer, leaked information to authorities.
