Her presence in the funeral / memorial / public mourning for Mohammad-Reza Shajarian was much noted. She reportedly wept during the funeral, and her appearance drew public attention and sympathy. Shajarian was not only a musical figure but also a moral voice, particularly during pivotal moments in modern history. He took stands that were significant to many people.
