Ali Parvin is one of the most influential and celebrated figures in the history of football. Born in Tehran on October 12, 1946, Parvin became famous as an attacking midfielder and later established himself as a successful football coach. His extraordinary career with Persepolis and the national team earned him the nickname “The Sultan” and made him a beloved figure among generations of football fans.
Parvin began his football journey playing street football in Tehran before progressing through local clubs. In 1970, he joined Persepolis, the club with which he would become most closely associated. He spent approximately 18 years with the club as a player, becoming one of its defining stars. His technical ability, vision, leadership, and passing made him an outstanding attacking midfielder.
