Remembering Jaklin Vigen

Jaklin’s collaborations were not just professional — they were deeply personal. She had long-lasting friendships with many of the artists she wrote for. With Shohreh Solati, her partnership was so strong that many fans associated Shohreh’s voice with Jaklin’s pen. Together, they created albums that became anthems of love and longing in exile.

With Googoosh, her work elevated the singer’s artistry, creating some of the most delicate and enduring ballads of Googoosh’s repertoire. With male artists like Ebi, Moein, and Sattar, she wrote songs that balanced masculine strength with emotional vulnerability — a rare trait in pop at the time. Through these collaborations, Jaklin became a hidden architect of pop music, weaving threads between artists, audiences, and eras.
