Alexis Stone is a British drag artist, makeup and transformation artist, visual artist, and illusionist known for incredible celebrity impersonations using makeup, prosthetics, costume, and performance. Alexis Stone’s work is striking because she doesn’t just do drag or conventional makeup — she does transformative illusion. She transforms into celebrities and iconic characters using hyper-realistic makeup + prosthetics.

In 2018, she carried out a widely noticed social‐experiment / prank: posted images suggesting she had undergone dramatic plastic surgery, including a “post-op” image with bruising and swelling, maintained the illusion for several months. Later revealed it was all makeup & prosthetics. Her Dolly Parton transformation for a Balenciaga show: a collaboration involving specialized prosthetics, a custom wig, costume, etc., where she recreated Dolly’s look & presence in tribute style.
