Luxury Brand Model
Bijan’s clothing was created for clients who wanted something highly individual rather than mass-produced fashion. The brand’s philosophy emphasized craftsmanship and one-of-a-kind designs. This approach helped establish Bijan as a symbol of power dressing during the 1980s and 1990s. Its clientele included presidents, kings, billionaires, business leaders, and other prominent figures.
The Los Angeles Times reported that Bijan dressed numerous U.S. presidents as well as other powerful international clients. Although Bijan became famous for expensive menswear, fragrances eventually became one of the brand’s most commercially successful products. The House of Bijan’s official history records the launch of its first major men’s fragrance in 1979, presented in a crystal bottle designed by Bijan and produced by Baccarat of Paris.
