Famous historic mansions

In recent hours, images of a wedding ceremony held at one of Tehran’s famous historic mansions, the Imam Jom’eh House, have been shared on social media by a user named Sara, attracting widespread attention. This historic mansion, located in Tehran’s Naserkhosrow neighborhood, is a surviving example of Qajar-era architecture. Its stunning architectural features and decorative details, particularly its intricate mirror work and delicate stucco decorations, have caught the attention of social media users.

The house originally belonged to Mirza Aqa Khan Nouri, the prime minister of Naser al-Din Shah Qajar. It was later purchased by Hajj Seyyed Abolqasem Imam Jom’eh, which is how it came to be known as the Imam Jom’eh House. The historic building was officially registered on National Heritage List in 1996. Beyond its historical significance, the Imam Jom’eh House is considered one of Tehran’s remarkable architectural landmarks, reflecting the artistic elegance and craftsmanship of the Qajar period.
