A Pioneer of Live Music Scene
Fetneh began performing with the One Thousand and One Nights Orchestra at the newly established Ofogh-e Talayi (Golden Horizon) Restaurant on Lalehzar Street. The venue had originally been known as Karamat Café, was later renamed Ofogh-e Talayi Restaurant, and eventually became an elegant cabaret. She also performed at Jame’e Barbad Theater.
Fetneh later married Mostafa Moradbakhti, but they eventually divorced. She subsequently married Amir Houshang Fathi, a highly skilled violinist and composer. They remained together until Mr. Fathi’s passing. Throughout her artistic career, Lady Fetneh recorded numerous songs on gramophone records, many of them composed by Yadollah Badr. Today, Lady Fetneh resides in Karaj.
