Theaters in Tehran flourished under her patronage, and the Shiraz Arts Festival, launched in 1967, became a global platform for avant-garde music, experimental theater, and traditional performances from around the world. This festival, under her protection, welcomed artists like John Cage, Peter Brook, and Martha Graham, fostering an unprecedented cultural exchange.
Another hallmark of Farah’s vision was the idea that art should not be confined to museums or elite spaces. She supported the integration of public art—murals, sculptures, fountains, and architectural projects—in urban planning. Her goal was to democratize access to art, allowing ordinary citizens to engage with beauty and creativity in their daily lives.
