Where Learning and Discovery Begin
Language development is another important part of kindergarten. Children are encouraged to talk about their ideas, listen to stories, ask questions, and participate in conversations. Creative activities are equally valuable. Art, music, movement, and imaginative play give children different ways to communicate their thoughts and feelings. A child who may be quiet during a classroom discussion might express themselves confidently through a drawing, song, or role-playing activity. These experiences help teachers understand each child’s interests and strengths.
