TV producer Dana Eden
Tehran won best drama series at the 49th Emmy Awards in 2021, becoming the first Israeli show to do so. “It gives hope for the future, that Israelis and Iranians will be able to walk together in Jerusalem and in Tehran as friends — and not as enemies,” Eden said in her acceptance speech. Eden gained global recognition for the Apple TV drama, which follows an Israeli Mossad agent on her first mission in the Iranian capital, alongside Moshe Zonder and Maor Kohn.
She became one of Israel’s most respected producers after launching her career in the late 1990s. Eden quickly built a reputation for creating drama shows with international appeal. She made the decision to film sections of Tehran in the Greek capital after a family holiday, where she was struck by the similarities between the two cities.
