Surrounded by rich artistic traditions, he developed a passion for drawing and painting at a young age. Farshchian studied under master miniature painters in Isfahan before continuing his education in Europe, where he was exposed to Western art movements. This combination of Eastern and Western influences would later become a defining feature of his work.

Farshchian elevated Persian miniature painting to new heights by introducing more fluid forms, dynamic movement, and expressive figures. Unlike the rigid compositions of classical miniature art, his paintings often depict elongated figures, swirling patterns, and dreamlike landscapes that evoke both spiritual and emotional depth.
