The Life of an Actress
An actress is a person who performs a character in movies, television shows, theater plays, or other types of entertainment. Her job is to bring a character to life and help tell a story to the audience. An actress usually begins by reading a script and learning about her character. She studies the character’s personality, feelings, background, and relationships with other characters. She then practices her lines and works on how she will speak, move, and express emotions.
Actresses often attend auditions to get roles in movies, television shows, or plays. During an audition, they may perform a scene or read lines in front of directors and producers. If they are selected for a role, they work with directors, other actors, costume designers, makeup artists, and many other members of the production team. Acting requires practice, confidence, creativity, and good communication skills. An actress may need to show many different emotions, such as happiness, sadness, anger, fear, or excitement.
