Meghan Markle Stuns in Strapless Gown

Joining the festivities, Duchess Meghan made an appearance in an ivory evening gown—perfectly on theme for the evening’s “black tie, Black designer” dress code. Designed by Charles Harbison under his eponymous label, the custom piece featured a strapless neckline trimmed in black and a long column skirt, tracing the body down to her open-toe Stuart Weitzman heels. A long velvet coat added some extra drama to the look, trailing behind the duchess like a train as she walked the green carpet.

The duchess wore her hair in a slicked-back updo, highlighting black onyx-and-diamond drop earrings. She stepped out solo, joining entrepreneur Emma Grede on the carpet. Founded in 2020 by Brother Vellies’s Aurora James, Fifteen Percent Pledge has provided capital, partnership opportunities, and mentorship to small Black-owned businesses over the past six years.
