From Medicine to the Frontlines of Resistance
Her life reflects the trajectory of many who joined the PMOI in the late 20th century—educated, idealistic individuals who transitioned from professional careers into full-time political activism, ultimately risking and losing their lives in pursuit of their beliefs.
In 1986, Fatemeh was sent to the region to directly participate in the PMOI’s resistance activities. This period saw her not only in operational roles but also in international organizational work, where she acted as a link between the PMOI and its networks abroad. Her dual involvement—on the ground and internationally—highlighted her versatility and dedication.
