From Medicine to the Frontlines of Resistance

In 1986, she was dispatched to the region as part of the PMOI’s operational and organizational activities. She also held responsibilities in international branches of the organization, working to build networks and gain support abroad.

Fatemeh Farshchian’s life came to an end during Operation Forough Javidan in 1988—a large-scale PMOI military operation launched from Iraq against government forces. She was in the fighting, becoming one of the many PMOI members who lost their lives during the conflict.
