A Pioneer of Live Music Scene
After marrying a man named Farrokh, Lady Fetneh temporarily withdrew from her musical career to devote herself to her personal life. Following the untimely loss of her husband, however, she returned to the stage with renewed determination. She resumed performing at Nakisa Restaurant, situated next to the historic Capri Cinema in Tehran, where live Persian music was an integral part of the city’s vibrant nightlife.
During this period, she joined the distinguished One Thousand and One Nights Orchestra, directed by the renowned composer and oud player Yadollah Badr. The orchestra brought together several of finest musicians, including the celebrated qanun player and composer Mostafa Moradbakhti, the accomplished violinist Reza Moradi, and a number of other respected instrumentalists. Their performances were admired for their high musical standards and elegant arrangements.
