A Life Dedicated to Music
Throughout his long career, Aref recorded hundreds of songs, many of which became classics in Persian music. Some of his best-known songs include “Soltane Ghalbha” (King of Hearts), “Eshghe Tou Nemimirad”, “Hala Khayli Dire”, and “Ki Behtar Az To”. His heartfelt lyrics and expressive voice made his music popular among Persian-speaking audiences around the world.
Following the Revolution in 1979, Aref left and continued his career abroad, first in London and later in Los Angeles. Despite living outside his homeland, he remained one of the most respected and beloved artists in the diaspora. He continued releasing albums, performing at concerts worldwide, and preserving Persian musical traditions while embracing modern influences.
