A Beautiful Game of Love

 

In interviews, Touzie has joked about his earliest days in America: one week parking cars in Los Angeles, the next week getting punched by Mr. T in a guest role on The A-Team. These experiences shaped his humility and adaptability—he often describes them as part of “earning his stripes” in a new country.

While Touzie often takes the lead in writing plays, Aghdashloo’s insights help shape dialogue and characters, especially female perspectives. In the 1990s and 2000s, the couple toured Workshop ’79 productions internationally, with their daughter Tara often accompanying them backstage, growing up around scripts, costumes, and set designs.
