Voices That Shape Generations

Omid Poladi Jahan, popularly known as Omid Jahan, was born in 1988 in Abadan. He is the son of Mahmoud Jahan, a celebrated singer and one of the most influential voices in southern music. Shortly after Omid’s birth, his family moved from Abadan to Bushehr, and later settled in Tehran, where he spent most of his formative years. Growing up in a musical household, Omid was deeply inspired by his father’s artistry and began exploring music from a very young age.

Under the mentorship and influence of Mahmoud Jahan, Omid gradually developed his own unique style while staying rooted in the rich traditions of southern music. His upbringing immersed in melody, rhythm, and cultural heritage paved the way for his future career as a musician and performer.
