UCLA Celebration of Cinema

The atmosphere during the Celebration is electric—an inspiring fusion of creativity, tradition, and discovery. Film enthusiasts walk shoulder-to-shoulder with Academy Award-winning alumni, and student filmmakers find themselves engaging in thoughtful dialogue with producers, directors, and critics whose work they have long admired.

Workshops and masterclasses are an integral part of the weeklong celebration. These sessions are led by celebrated professionals in cinematography, screenwriting, directing, sound design, and visual effects—many of whom are UCLA alumni themselves.
