UCLA Celebration of Cinema

A powerful evening at the Hammer Museum for the opening night of the 2025 UCLA Celebration of Cinema by the UCLA Film & Television Archive. The evening featured the much-anticipated U.S. premiere of Reading Lolita in Tehran, starring.

Following the screening, we were honored to welcome special guests Zar Amir (star) and Marjorie David (screenwriter) for an insightful post-film conversation with Dr. Roya Rastegar, diving into the film’s timely themes and powerful performances.
