Although her life was cut short, Bergen’s influence continues to grow. In addition to her best-selling albums, her name now appears in feminist literature, academic papers, and documentaries. Cultural institutions in Turkey have hosted exhibits in her memory, and artists across genres cite her as an influence.
In 2023, her name was posthumously honored at a women’s rights conference in Ankara, where activists described her as “a martyr of love and resistance.”
