Pahlavi family

The Pahlavi dynasty’s legacy is still fiercely debated and among the diaspora. For some, it represents a lost golden age of national pride, secular governance, and global relevance. For others, it’s a cautionary tale of unchecked power and Western-backed authoritarianism.

Regardless of perspective, the Pahlavi name remains an enduring part of identity, history, and political imagination. Social media campaigns, graffiti, and chants at protests (e.g., “Reza Shah, ruhat shad” – “Reza Shah, may your soul be happy”) suggest a revival of interest in the monarchy among some demographics.
