Composer Babak Bayat’s son passes away

Babak Bayat was a devoted father and mentor. He had three sons, including Bamdad Bayat, who followed in his footsteps as a composer, arranger, and pianist. Bamdad often worked alongside his father on film projects, especially in the late 1990s and early 2000s, gaining experience under his guidance.

Babak Bayat passed away on November 26, 2006, after a long battle with liver disease, worsened by personal grief following the tragic death of one of his sons. His death left a deep void in the world of Iranian music. Thousands of fans, artists, and cultural figures mourned his loss.
