Behaviors That Make People See You as Lower-Class
Not showering, taking care of your hair, or wearing dirty clothes is a giveaway that someone lacks class, as it strongly impacts other people’s perception of them. Good hygiene is often seen as the most basic of social rules, whilst poor hygiene suggests a lack of resources.
Good hygiene goes beyond just physical health—it reflects an individual’s upbringing, attention to detail, and understanding of social expectations. People who prioritize cleanliness and grooming are often seen as more polished, trustworthy, and approachable. Conversely, poor hygiene tends to suggest a lack of resources, care, or knowledge about proper self-maintenance, which can lead others to unfairly judge someone as less refined or from a lower social class.
