80 examples were ordered, 79 were originally delivered from the US. Currently has about 40 F-14 remaining with two of them having been upgraded to F-14AM. Around 20 are Fully Mission Capable and the other 20 Partially Mission Capable. The F-14A Tomcat, a twin-engine, variable-sweep wing interceptor and air superiority fighter, was acquired in 1974 from the United States.
Designed by Grumman, the F-14A is renowned for its long-range radar capabilities and its ability to engage multiple targets simultaneously, making it a formidable platform for both defense and strategic operations.
