Mahnaz Afshar is one of most celebrated and influential actresses, known not only for her powerful screen presence but also for her outspoken advocacy on social issues. Born on June 10, 1977, in Tehran, Afshar rose to fame in the early 2000s and became a defining face of modern cinema.

Mahnaz Afshar began her career after studying video editing and attending the Hannaneh Art Institute. Her screen debut came in the television series Gomshodeh (Lost) in 1998. She soon transitioned to film, gaining attention with her role in Doostan (Friends), although it was heavily censored and not widely released.
