A Cultural Renaissance

Artists like Monir Shahroudy Farmanfarmaian, whose mirror mosaics and geometric abstractions blended Persian craftsmanship with modern design, found in Farah a strong supporter who helped bring their work to wider audiences. Farah’s encouragement gave many women the visibility and confidence they needed to pursue careers in the arts on equal footing with their male counterparts.

Farah’s interest extended into the performing arts and literature. She met with poets such as Forough Farrokhzad and Ahmad Shamlou, recognizing their power in shaping public discourse. She was an early supporter of Iranian New Wave cinema, encouraging filmmakers who experimented with form and content to reflect deeper social realities.
