After 1979, Farah Pahlavi was forced into exile, but she never abandoned her commitment to the arts. Living abroad, she continued to support artists—often attending gallery openings, literary readings, and concerts held by the growing diaspora.

She became a symbolic figure of continuity, especially for artists who had fled repression or censorship. Her presence at cultural events in Paris, New York, or Washington D.C. was a reminder that artistic freedom and Iranian identity could coexist—even outside.
